Connecting QuoteMate to Shopify
Bring real quoting to your Shopify store: capture requests, quote from your catalog, and sync accepted quotes back as draft orders.

What the integration does
- Captures requests from your storefront with a request-a-quote flow, so a lead is never lost to a generic contact form.
- Quotes from your Shopify catalog — your products, variants, and pricing come across automatically, and QuoteMate applies your discount and approval rules on top.
- Syncs accepted quotes back to Shopify as draft orders, so fulfillment and payment happen where your operations already live.
Connecting your store
- In QuoteMate, open Settings → Integrations → Shopify and select Connect store.
- Approve the app in your Shopify admin. QuoteMate requests access to products and draft orders—nothing else.
- Choose which catalogs or collections should be quotable. Many merchants exclude retail-only SKUs here.
- Confirm the sync. Your products appear in QuoteMate within a few minutes, and price changes in Shopify flow through automatically.
The quoting flow, end to end
A buyer submits a request on your storefront. Your team (or your pricing rules acting on their behalf) turns it into an on-brand quote the same day. Negotiation and revisions happen in QuoteMate with every version tracked. When the buyer accepts, the quote lands in your Shopify admin as a draft order, ready to invoice and fulfill.
Draft orders vs. real quoting
Shopify draft orders are a checkout mechanism, not a quoting workflow—there's no approval logic, no revision history, and nothing that stops an off-policy price from going out. Troubleshooting
Products aren't appearing. Check the collection filter in your integration settings—newly added products join the sync on the next refresh.
A price looks wrong on a quote. QuoteMate quotes from the synced Shopify price plus your rules. If a price changed in Shopify in the last few minutes, resync from the integration page.
